Our Process: Handcrafted with Love

Each bowl in this hand cast with our own in house formulated clay slip. They are carefully trimmed, wiped smooth and left to dry before the first bisque firing.

After the initial firing, each bowl is dipped in our custom bronze glaze and hand bushed on the inside with our shiny black glaze. These glazes are the result of years of formulation and testing in our studio and have become a customer favorites for their lustrous yet earthy character. When fired a second time at high temperature, the glaze transforms into a glossy surface that mimics the glow of aged metal—without sacrificing the strength or safety of ceramic.

All of our pottery is handmade in our family-run studio in Jaroso, Colorado, a quiet town nestled in the San Luis Valley. Over 25 years ago, Sarah Welch open her pottery workshop in this small, rural community while raising her family. What started as a solo operation has grown into a multi-brand studio focused on handcrafted barware, garden pottery, and heirloom gifts.
