Handcrafted in our small Colorado studio and glazed in custom recipes, ranging from warm earth tones to vivid greens and deep blues—this stoneware mug is a celebration of color and craftsmanship.
Its rounded body and flared lip are rooted in traditional jarrito (little jar) shapes, but adapted with high-fire durability and food-safe glazes for everyday use. Whether you’re sipping a cold jarrito on a patio, cozying up with café de olla, or gifting a one-of-a-kind piece to someone you love, this mug delivers charm, function, and artisan flair all in one.
Due to the handmade process, each mug may vary slightly in glaze, form, and size—this variation is a signature of its authenticity.
All pieces are made by hand in the San Luis Valley in the little town of Jaroso, Colorado, using raw earth materials for both our homemade clay and glazes. Each glaze is applied by hand and reacts differently in the kiln, creating subtle shifts in hue, gloss, and texture that make every piece unique.

Every jarrito is hand cast in our own molds and clay that we manufacture in our workshop. After shaping and drying, it’s bisque-fired, hand-glazed in rich pigments, and fired again to vitrify the clay and glaze. We take our inspiration from traditional Latin American drinking vessels, blending cultural form with modern glaze expression to create something both rooted and original.

Each mug is handmade and unique. Slight variations in size, glaze pattern, or finish are normal and celebrated. All pieces are microwave- and dishwasher-safe unless gold is included (those should be hand-washed and not microwaved). If you’re purchasing a gold-accented piece, we’ll note that in the item description.
